Hidden Treasure

I felt prompted to share this blog post again from a while back which I hope will be a blessing to someone reading, especially if you have received a vision/ministry from God or you have recently sensed God’s call on your life but the resources for it have not yet been released. Hidden Treasures

The bible talks about words in season and this may be a word in season for someone at this time.

If this word is for you and it witnesses with you in and through the Holy Spirit then I hope it encourages you to take that first step in faith.

Hope you have, are having or will have a blessed day in Jesus.

The treasure seekers

I had a picture the other day during my prayer time. In the picture I saw a great darkness. I was surrounded by darkness. I didn’t realise straight away what I was seeing but then realised I was in water, like a large lake. I looked further and saw some reeds which were thick and waving in the bottom of the water. There was something glinting amongst the reeds and as they parted I saw pearls hidden amongst them. I then heard the following words in my spirit “restoration of the treasure seekers”.

I believe that the Lord was saying that is time to restore the treasure seekers. It is time for the treasure seekers to rise up. An awakening of those with inquisitive minds who want to search out truth, people who are questioning, who will question and persevere until they find the truth. The answers in God the Father, Jesus the son, the Holy Spirit and His Word. I pray God awakens, by His Holy Spirit, people who will seek after truth and God’s treasures. Seek and you will find as the Word of God encourages us.

“attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3

“I rejoice at Your word As one who finds great treasure”. Psalm 119:162

“My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God”. Proverbs 2:1-5

It will be such people who will discover the treasures. It is time to seek out the true treasures of heaven. The hidden riches which are in the secret places. There are pearls of great price which are hidden in the most unlikely places.

I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel” Isaiah 45:3

There are also treasures which can be found in some unseemly places, dirty places, places blighted by stigma and bad reputation. People don’t usually want to go to such places to look for treasures. Pride and arrogance can stop us and blind us from thinking that such places could hold riches of wisdom and understanding. People tend to look for kings in palaces rather than stables. They will look for the wise and the educated in places renowned for learning rather than the industrial heartlands.

There are treasures in clay pots. There is much creativity, knowledge, and craftsmanship which God wants to restore to His people. The ability to invent, innovate and create incredible things. God is the origin of ideas and can teach us. He put His Holy Spirit into the craftsmen of Israel so that they became skilled.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you”. Exodus 31:1-6

There is treasure and potential within us all. Do you feel overlooked and insignificant? I pray that God will enable you to see the treasure within you. We just need eyes to see it, encourage others to see it and see that potential released. The treasure is there to be found.

I was reminded that the Lord gave me a very similar picture and word to this some time ago about going deeper for the treasure and I have posted the link below.

I pray you are blessed in God and encouraged in Him. May you be a treasure seeker x

Going deeper for the treasure

Have a blessed day 😊 this was the word for today in the bible gateway today, reminding us that true treasure is heavenly.

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:19-21

Hidden Treasures

I preached on Joseph a number of years ago and as part of that preach the Lord gave me 3 words.  The Lord has reminded me of those words now and so they may encourage you if you are currently in this season.

The first was that the wealth of the Egyptians and the treasures of darkness would be released to the church for God’s plans to be accomplished for His glory and to advance His kingdom.  Those who had need of resources to fulfil the vision that God had given them had to ask in faith for these resources to be released to them.

The resources would be released but not from the traditional church giving etc. but would come from external sources – “the wealth of the Egyptians” and “treasures of darkness”.    The Lord is not being literal here in that it is funds from the country of Egypt etc. but is saying that that the funds will come from unlikely sources and from people you may have thought were in opposition to you or the vision God has given you. It will clearly be the hand of God which releases the necessary resources.

It does not matter that you may not have all of God’s purposes revealed to you any this stage. As you walk out the purposes of God and His plans then more and more will be revealed to you. It just needs that first step of faith.

If you need resources to fulfil the vision that God has given you then ask God to give you the “wealth of the Egyptians” and the “hidden riches of the secret places” so that you can be a blessing to others.

Isaiah 45 v3.    v 14 “Thus says the Lord – the labour of Egypt and merchandise of Cush; and of the Sabeans, men of stature, they shall come over to you and they shall be yours.”

The second part of the word was that some would suffer for the sake of the vision and calling which the Lord had put on their life but that God would never forsake them.  He would be with them in every situation and would reward them when they stand before His throne.

If you are going through a difficult situation then hold on to God in faith and run the race until the end.    The Lord will reward your faithfulness and will never let you down.  He is with you in all the suffering and pain to uphold you.

The third part of the word was that some would leave their homes and go to foreign people and foreign places and that was part of God’s purpose and plan.  He was calling them out.

If you feel the call of God to go out to foreign places then follow that vision with confidence that it is God who has put the desire in your heart.

Bless you in Jesus name.
