I had a picture the other day during my prayer time. In the picture I saw a great darkness. I was surrounded by darkness. I didn’t realise straight away what I was seeing but then realised I was in water, like a large lake. I looked further and saw some reeds which were thick and waving in the bottom of the water. There was something glinting amongst the reeds and as they parted I saw pearls hidden amongst them. I then heard the following words in my spirit “restoration of the treasure seekers”.
I believe that the Lord was saying that is time to restore the treasure seekers. It is time for the treasure seekers to rise up. An awakening of those with inquisitive minds who want to search out truth, people who are questioning, who will question and persevere until they find the truth. The answers in God the Father, Jesus the son, the Holy Spirit and His Word. I pray God awakens, by His Holy Spirit, people who will seek after truth and God’s treasures. Seek and you will find as the Word of God encourages us.
“attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2-3
“I rejoice at Your word As one who finds great treasure”. Psalm 119:162
“My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God”. Proverbs 2:1-5
It will be such people who will discover the treasures. It is time to seek out the true treasures of heaven. The hidden riches which are in the secret places. There are pearls of great price which are hidden in the most unlikely places.
“I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel” Isaiah 45:3
There are also treasures which can be found in some unseemly places, dirty places, places blighted by stigma and bad reputation. People don’t usually want to go to such places to look for treasures. Pride and arrogance can stop us and blind us from thinking that such places could hold riches of wisdom and understanding. People tend to look for kings in palaces rather than stables. They will look for the wise and the educated in places renowned for learning rather than the industrial heartlands.
There are treasures in clay pots. There is much creativity, knowledge, and craftsmanship which God wants to restore to His people. The ability to invent, innovate and create incredible things. God is the origin of ideas and can teach us. He put His Holy Spirit into the craftsmen of Israel so that they became skilled.
“Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you”. Exodus 31:1-6
There is treasure and potential within us all. Do you feel overlooked and insignificant? I pray that God will enable you to see the treasure within you. We just need eyes to see it, encourage others to see it and see that potential released. The treasure is there to be found.
I was reminded that the Lord gave me a very similar picture and word to this some time ago about going deeper for the treasure and I have posted the link below.
I pray you are blessed in God and encouraged in Him. May you be a treasure seeker x

Have a blessed day 😊 this was the word for today in the bible gateway today, reminding us that true treasure is heavenly.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:19-21
