Today is the start of Lent. At the start of this season, I want to share this post written by Rainer which touches the subject of suffering.
There are many who are suffering or you may be travelling a season with others who are suffering. This is a word of encouragement for those in this season.

As we look to Jesus we remember that He suffered much for us and as we reflect on His suffering, which was not in vain, but produced much fruit and glory to His Father, we take hope and encouragement that our seasons of suffering are also not in vain.
“He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:3-5 NKJV
