The Lifter of your head..

I want to share a Scripture today which the Lord reminded me of through a vision this week, which I hope will encourage and bless someone reading today.

As I was worshipping, I saw a picture of myself with my head bowed down looking at the floor. I could just see some feet of a person standing right in front of me, facing me. I knew in my Spirit this was the Lord. Then I felt two gentle fingers under my chin lifting up my face until I was looking up and then Jesus drew me into His arms and leant my head against His heart.

This was such a beautiful and tender moment. The action reminded me of a parent when they want a child’s attention and gently tilt their face up to them. It was very tender.

There may be someone out there today who is downcast or anxious and the Lord wants you to lift your eyes to His face and experience His loving embrace and comfort. For you to know that Jesus is holding you close..so close that you can feel His presence and know His loving heart for you.

“But You, Lord, are a shield around me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.”

Psalm 3.3 NASB

    Psalm 3:3 is a precious verse to me Nicola; as you say so well it is the vision of the Lord being so close, it truly is a comfort beyond anything else. It has been the idea of being shielded/wrapped all around by Him that has always had the most profound effect on me.

    Wow, if one was to receive a vision, that would be the one to have, Nicola. I’ve only ever had one vision that happened years ago while I was sitting on the end of my bed. The colors were vividly bright and it was if I was flying over an orchard, where the trees were all orderly arranged in a row. Still not thoroughly sure what it meant but I remember saying at the time, wow, what was that! I’d never seen colors so vivid before. I just lifted my head like you said in prayer, because I could sure use that about now. Blessings!

      It is a beautiful experience Bruce. You have not forgotten that vision and been reminded of it today. Your vision brought to mind the verses in Isaiah 61:3 for you “they will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendour”.
