Landed on a refreshed web page!
As it’s the Christmas holidays and I’m off work, I decided yesterday to give my WordPress site a long overdue refresh. I’m not that technical (as many of you know from my clumsy efforts and blogging mishaps) so there are a few tweaks still needed but overall, I’m happy with the result and I hope you agree it’s an improvement.
Thankfully, I didn’t need to do the work on my own. I asked and received help from my eldest daughter who is visiting for Christmas. She is much more skilled in the creative department than I am.
Jesus has put us, His followers, in the body of Christ with all our individual talents, strengths and weaknesses. The Holy Spirit has distributed His gifts amongst us as He wills so that we can help each other to come to maturity in Christ Jesus.
Don’t be shy to recognise your gifting and talents to help others, but also let us not be too proud to recognise our weaknesses and ask for help.
I believe that some of you have giftings that need to be exercised or re-exercised. Perhaps this year could be the opportunity to do so for the first time or to step out in your gifting again. Sometimes, a careless word can hurt us and cause us to pull back but the body of Christ needs you. Don’t let the enemy rob us of your gift.
If you recognise a gifting in someone then encourage them to use and grow in that gifting. It will help to create a healthy body.
“There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills”. 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11
Have a blessed day my friends.

Congratulations on your new site, Nicola. I should do some refreshing on mine as well. You have inspired me to do so!
None of us are as strong as all of us. Everyone in the Body of Christ is employed in God’s kingdom work. Thank you for the reminder!
