Conspiracies and Fear-Mongering

This is what the Lord says to me with his strong hand upon me, warning me not to follow the way of this people: ‘Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread.
Isaiah 8:11-13

Bind up this testimony of warning and seal up God’s instruction among my disciples. I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the descendants of Jacob. I will put my trust in him.
Isaiah 8:16-17

My friends keep your eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus in this season and be led by the Holy Spirit. Wait on God and His instructions. There are people who are whipping up fear and leading many astray. Causing them to follow the ways of greed and selfishness and exploiting the weak and not regarding the poor. People’s fear is leading them to behave in terrible ways. We only have to witness the recent violence stirred up by the fuel crises in this country. We are not called to follow ungodly ways but the ways of righteousness and truth. We are followers of Jesus.

Let us not forget that the Lord God Almighty is on the throne. He knows the truth and will expose the lies and strategies of the enemy. Stand firm in your faith, and do not be led astray but put on the armour of light, submit to God, resist the enemy and do not fall into Satan’s traps.

We have a righteous advocate in Jesus our Lord and King who rules and reigns: May His Kingdom come and may His Will be done today in our lives.

He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash round his waist.”
Isaiah 11:3-5

The Lord has overcome and by His power in us, His grace and His mercy we will not give in to evil or evil days but will overcome. Let us encourage each other to persevere in faith and be beacons of His light, grace, love, power and mercy in these times.

Have a blessed day.
