Time of Separation

“This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth Matthew 13:49-50

Separation – this is the word that I heard from the Lord recently- the day of Separation. He spoke to me about His gathering angels. The angels who are sent from heaven to do His work. They know who is of God’s Kingdom and those who are not. God’s people are clearly marked. The ones who belong to Jesus and are His, who are reserved for Him are clearly recognisable. They bear the mark of Christ.

I was reminded of this scripture from Matthew 13 and the parables which Jesus taught about the day when those who are good and those who are bad will be separated. The separation of the wheat from the chaff at the time of harvest which Jesus talks about in the following parable.

The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. 27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ 29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

Jesus went on to explain the parable so that we can understand:

“The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man (Jesus). 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. (The gathering angels)

40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.
Matthew 13:24-30,37-43

The Lord is reminding us through His Grace and Mercy that this day of separation will come. It will take place. There can be no “mixing” or “hybrid” in the Kingdom of God. It will be a clear separation. There is no middle ground. The wheat are those who belong to God’s Kingdom. His children will be separated from the children of the devil (the weeds). The father of lies who deceives the whole world.

There is a time of separation coming and the Lord is preparing His people. The Lord is reserving His people and will reserve them unto Himself for the days ahead, when the Anti-Christ and the Beast start to make their move, when they start to rise up and do what it is that they are purposed to do. The Lord knows that day and the season as all is planned in His time.

The Lord is also encouraging us to be patient and steadfast in Him. To patiently endure the times ahead. Let us not act hastily and make quick decision but wait patiently on God for His perfect will. I am reminded that it is the fool who rushes in. Those who are foolish will still refuse to believe the truth but those whose faith and trust is in God, they shall not be moved. Let us encourage each other to run the race of faith and not to turn back but to keep pressing in. We want to be people who are clearly recognisable as those who are of God’s kingdom, marked by Him (not with the false mark of the beast) and gathered in the day of separation. For the day of separation will surely come like a thief in the night.

I ask our Heavenly Father that there will be many who will respond to the gospel message in these days ahead before that day of separation comes. That their hearts will be softened and they will become a child of God. A true living child of the King released into all that He has for them.

God will not let His people down. God is speaking to His children in this hour and encouraging us to “Keep the faith”. Let us be those who pursue peace with all men and do not forget that love covers a multitude of sins.

Blessings to you this day in Jesus’ name.
