The Perfect Plan of God – Harmony

Today, I am reposting a post from 2018. I find it useful to go back and read some of my old posts and discover again some things the Lord has put on my heart and encouraged me with at various times, especially when I’m in a period which is extremely busy at work and I can feel overwhelmed. This post reminding me that God is sovereign and has a perfect plan for each of us reassures me that my future is secure in Him and to keep my eyes fixed on Him. I am in Him and He is in me which brings great peace and comfort to my soul.

2018 – God reminded me today that even though at times my life seems chaotic and overwhelming to me when I am trying to balance work, family, home and many other things which distract me, the truth is that He is always right there with me and I am made right with Him through Jesus.

I am living out His perfect plan for my life because He is in it.     I don’t have to earn it or work at it – I just have to accept the greatest gift which Jesus has given to me – the gift of relationship with God.

I wrote down the following words which came to me as I spent some time with God today:

My children,  From the very foundation of the world I had a plan and My plan has not altered.    It is a plan set in the heavenly realm and My son Jesus achieved and accomplished in perfect obedience and perfect sacrifice and in perfect timing that plan.   Every person on earth who has ever lived and was created with life has a place in My perfect plan.    There is no-one who has ever lived who is not able to partake.  None has been left out.

I long that all would come into My perfect plan for their lives.   My plan is simple.  It consists of relationship between Father, Son, Holy Spirit and you in perfect harmony of relationship.  There is nothing which can stop you being part of My plan.

All that is necessary is humble acceptance of My son’s sacrifice and offering of Himself for you.  He has obtained by His death and resurrection the keys of death and hell so that the door is open to walk into the perfect plan for your life.   No other plan will bring you the desires of your heart for no other plan can bring you into perfect harmony with Me.  It is simple and it is true.  There is only one plan which is perfect and so why accept anything less for yourselves.

I hope that you have found that perfect plan in Jesus for your life with God. It’s called the gospel – the good news. The bible teaches that sin has separated us from God but Jesus, who had no sin, became that bridge to God by dying in our place. Jesus took the punishment that our sins deserved and made it possible to be reconciled with God and adopted into God’s family. We have to acknowledge our sin, accept Jesus as our saviour and then commit to following Jesus as a disciple for the rest of our lives, growing in the knowledge of God and His Kingdom being filled with the Holy Spirit and expressing God’s love to others. Telling others the good news about Jesus.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Romans 5:6-11

The Good News

“The gospel is only good news if it gets there in time.”
― Carl F. H. Henry

We have been privileged and blessed as a church fellowship this weekend to have Simon Guillebaud come and speak to us for our Kingdom Weekend when we focus on missions both near and far.

Simon has been a missionary in Burundi and shared his story of how God took him to that African nation and the incredible way that God has used him and his fellow believers in that country to show the love of God and salvation through faith in Jesus.

Simon came with the purpose of stirring our faith and exhorting us as believers in Christ to share the Good News that we have received wherever God has called and appointed us to be His witnesses. He warned against the dangers of apathy and other distractions of life which can interfere with our sense of urgency to share the Good News.

Simon’s teaching this morning was from the passage in Romans 10 verses 9-15

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!

So fellow believers in Christ how wonderful it is that we are the bearers of Good News but as Simon reminded us today as Carl F.H. Henry said: “The gospel is only good news if it gets there in time.

I have an encouraging testimony to share with you about how the Lord answered our prayer for the Good News to be given in time for someone. My friend’s son was diagnosed with terminal cancer just before Christmas last year. He has undergone much chemotherapy and is now on his second course but the Consultants have told him that it is terminal and he does not have much time left. We have prayed for him that he will hear and receive the Good News of salvation before it is too late. My friend has shared the gospel with her son but sometimes with family they won’t really “hear” what you say to them. I am sure if you have family who are not saved then you can identify with that.

We had been praying that the Lord would put someone else across his path. He lives hundreds of miles away from us. Last week the Lord answered those prayers. During a visit to the hospital a man (a complete stranger) asked my friend’s son if he had faith and then proceeded to share Jesus with him and why he needed salvation. Wow – thank the Lord that this man who we do not know was faithful and obedient to share the good news and that the message “got there in time“. My friend’s son called his Mum to tell her about this and we now pray that he will respond – our responsibility is to be obedient to share our faith but it is for the person who hears to respond. We cannot do that part for them but we continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him, his heart will be softened and he will call on the Lord and be saved.

Lord today I pray that those who need to hear the message of salvation, the Good News will hear it and receive it in time. Stir our hearts with a sense of urgency our dear Lord and Father to share the good news when we have opportunity to do so. Thank you Jesus for the privilege of being co-workers for your Kingdom. Amen

Advent Adventures

Welcome to December everyone. I’m looking forward to reading the great stories and words shared on here by my fellow bloggers in December 😊

It’s going to be my Advent calendar each day dipping into WordPress to read the blogs from people all over the world.

Thank you to everyone that contributes. Your posts are meaningful and valuable.

The other week the Lord impressed on me how wonderful it is to use social media and other digital platforms to share testimonies, prophecies and truths about our experiences of Jesus, God and faith.

We have this great tool to be able to share the good news of Jesus.

I believe the Lord wants to stir up faith and release more people to share their stories of His love in this way. To use this gift that we have been given.

Who do you know that you could encourage to become a Christian blogger sharing their stories or sharing for them. Filling the communication channels with good news. Edifying truths.

People’s own testimonies are so incredible because they are personal and inspiring. They deserve to be heard.

Jesus is still doing incredible works and I really want to hear about them. To hear what He is doing for people and through people all over the world from the small acts of kindness to the miraculous. All are equally valuable.

People often think they have nothing valuable to say or that no-one wants to hear it but that is not true. We can all learn from each other. We have all gone through different life experiences in our journeys of faith which have taught us things and others can benefit from what we learned or have to share.

My friend told me that this year in the Jewish calendar is the year of the Voice. I think that is really significant.

Let’s be a voice for Jesus and share truth, love, grace and all the other amazing things that God inspires in us.

Let’s tell our stories.

Bless you in Jesus name.

For someone by sharing you

The good news of JESUS to run swiftly throughout the nations

2 Thessalonians 3 v 1 “Finally, brethren pray for us that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified just as it is with you”.

These are the words that the Lord has spoken to my heart today.    This is the day for the release of an acceleration of the powerful message of the good news of Jesus Christ.  That it will run swiftly now as the apostle Paul said through our cities, our communities and through our families.

The word of God to run swiftly as horses through the nation – Let it run swiftly and be glorified.

Let it be shouted from the rooftops – There is Good News.  There is hope – His name is JESUS.

He died for your sins.  He rose again & conquered death so that you may live with Him and be with Him in his kingdom.   He is the only saviour who can restore you to relationship with your loving Father in Heaven.

Believe in Him.  Turn from your wicked ways.  Believe in Him and in the power of His death & resurrection and be saved.   Today is the day of salvation.  Today is the day to believe.  Cast away all doubt & fear and put your faith in Him.

He will never let you down.  Turn from darkness to the light.  Turn from death to live in Him.  May you hear His word today.

Let the message of salvation run swiftly through the whole earth.  Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3 v 1 “Finally, brethren pray for us that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified just as it is with you”.

Let us pray that that the word of God and the message of salvation in Jesus Christ will run swiftly through the nations of the earth today.  That we will be bold to speak it out.  That we will be bearers of that message and will speak it and testify of it.

There is hope and His name is Jesus Christ.   He alone is the hope for our nations.  That people’s hearts will be softened to receive the message of salvation, that their minds will be set free to hear His word & that the Holy Spirit will bring conviction of sins to men’s hearts and lead them to the truth that is Jesus Christ.
