This is a time for the body of Christ to wake up and get prepared. To be like the wise virgins who had enough oil in their lamps and were ready when the bridegroom came. We need spiritually to store up oil as without oil there is no light and without oil there is no fire. We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit – the oil of joy our strength and to be on fire for Christ. This is a time to discern the season and what God is about. The cockerel has crowed for this nation and the clock is ticking down. God is on the move. Our faith needs to be strong and our feet planted on the solid rock – Christ Jesus. If we are then we will not give up in this season and will strive on to see Christ’s work accomplished. We will climb the mountain to experience His holy presence and see Christ face to face. Not everyone will follow and some may lose their way but those who press on will go through the Refiner’s fire. All the muck & chaff in us must come to the top and be skimmed off. Then, we will be as gold reflecting God’s love and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to step into His holy fire as it will refine and purify us. The time is coming for the wave to break. It has gathered in the deep waters and is now pushing towards the shore. In the spirit, I saw this wave and it was huge – like a tsunami. The time for the wave to break will come soon and it will bring such a revival in the body of Christ. Those who turned away will repent of their sin and lack of faith. They will return to the Lord and He to them. They will go out to do His works. Isaiah 33 v 14 – “Who amongst us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who amongst us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly.” Hosea 3 v10 “Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap in mercy, break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord till He comes and rains righteousness on you”. “to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings being confirmed to his death”.
In 2004, we had a picture of people from all churches joining together to pray for the area. We were pushing heavy gates and everyone had to push together. The gates were like large sluice gates and water was stored up behind them. As we all pushed the gates opened and water flooded in to revive the area. We believed this was a sign of unity in the body of Christ leading to revival in us and then the area. We sang that song “Swing wide the gates and let the King come in” and prayed from Psalm 24 verses 7-10 about the ancient gates being opened and letting the King of Glory Jesus come in. The other picture was of a cloud bringing the refreshing rain of God’s presence. As in the story of Elijah when he is praying for rain after years of drought and sends his servant to report what he sees. Elijah has to send the servant seven times to look and then the servant reports that he sees a cloud but it is no bigger than a man’s hand. Elijah knew then that was the sign the rain was coming. He had already heard it in the spirit. We have to keep looking for the cloud and believe in faith for this to happen. The Lord said the rain was coming but just as Elijah sacrificed we also have to get into His refining fire first and sacrifice self and our fleshly desires. The rain is coming Prayers for Stourbridge.
In July 2003 we were led as a group to pray for Stourbridge and the churches in Stourbridge. We prayed for wells of living water to spring up and we had a picture of people coming from far and wide to Stourbridge. Stourbridge was like a beacon of light drawing people to Christ. We prayed for schools, churches, businesses, people in leadership. We saw a picture of people falling to their knees as they walked down Stourbridge High Street convicted of sin and coming to Christ. They were encountering the power of the living God in the street.Prayers for Stourbridge
Prayers at Dudley Castle -part 2. We made the prayerful declaration from the castle walls that Rivers of new life will flow from Dudley into the Black Country, other regions and the nation to bring salvation, healing and restoration. We declared from Isaiah. Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise. Isaiah 43:18-21
We believe that God’s word will not return void. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Prayers at Dudley CastleAs we walked into Dudley Castle we sang that old song – Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return and come with singing unto Zion. Everlasting joy will be upon their head. They shall obtain gladness and joy and sadness will fall away. We pray that this will be true for the people of Dudley and the Black Country.
The scripture declaration at the old gates of the castle was:
Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord, Through which the righteous shall enter. I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation. The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord , I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord . God is the Lord, And He has given us light; Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 118 NKJV
We visited Dudley Castle in March to pray and declare scriptures from the top of the castle ruins for Dudley and the Black Country . It was a beautiful day and we could see for miles. The first reading was from Isaiah 62: We believe in faith that Dudley will be restored and God’s hand is upon Dudley.
For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns. The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the Lord will name. You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the Lord, And a royal diadem In the hand of your God. You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the Lord delights in you, And your land shall be married. For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your sons marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you. I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. The Lord has sworn by His right hand And by the arm of His strength: “Surely I will no longer give your grain As food for your enemies; And the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine, For which you have labored. But those who have gathered it shall eat it, And praise the Lord; Those who have brought it together shall drink it in My holy courts.” Go through, Go through the gates! Prepare the way for the people; Build up, Build up the highway! Take out the stones, Lift up a banner for the peoples! Indeed the Lord has proclaimed To the end of the world: “Say to the daughter of Zion, ‘Surely your salvation is coming; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.’” And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; And you shall be called Sought Out, A City Not Forsaken.
Isaiah 62:1-12 –
In February this year as I was praying I felt God say the following to me. There is power in my Word. Whatever I declare from heaven concerning a matter or nation will be performed. My angels act on my commands. My Word is powerful. My Word is creative but also destructive. It can build up or it can tear down and root out. Whenever I speak My Word will perform whatever it is sent forth to achieve. I have declared a new time and season. A new day for the church in this nation. Too long she has been weak, ineffective and struggling like a new-born babe. Now she will rise up with renewed energy & vigour. She will have learned how to use the tools with which I have equipped her so that My kingdom can advance. It is time to take the kingdom of God and push forward. To take the light into the darkness. I do not need a vast army to achieve my purposes – only those who are willing to fight against evil (in prayer, in truth & doing good) willing to persevere, willing not to count the cost, those who are bold, those who have courage and who take their strength from me. Those will be part of my army. Those who are skilled in the Word, those who know their position, those who listen and obey – they will receive the words to speak and declare in My name. They will see My wonder-working power at work. They will be my vessels to bring Christ’s healing, holiness and salvation to nations. I am on the move and my body the church needs to discern where I am leading in this season. It is not time for the faint hearted, the men pleasers, the timid – this is the season for those who fear the Lord and show that reverence and fear. Who love righteousness and hate wickedness, injustice and wrong and will stand up and be counted. To be the carriers of my presence into all situations where I have placed them – whether in the home, work, family, government, schools, everywhere they find themselves. They can have an impact for good. – I sense that this is like the day of Gideon’s army. In the last few months, God has been calling us out to pray on the streets and at strategic locations and has given us scriptures to pray each time. It has been amazing the things God has shown us and inspired us to pray about in each location. He truly opens our eyes to see. I believe in faith that prayer changes things. Trust in the Lord and do Good – Psalm 37:4
