Those were the words that came to me last night as I was sleeping. I was immediately taken back to the story of Ali Baba and the forty thieves.
I can remember being fascinated when I was young by the story of Ali Baba and the forty thieves who hid all their treasure in a secret cave. The cave was well hidden and you could not enter without the secret command “Open Sesame”. At that command, the cave would open and all the secret and hidden treasure was there for the taking.
I immediately thought of that scripture again from Isaiah 45 about God giving His people the hidden treasures and riches stored in secret places. I have had this same word on a number of occasions now so it is something the Lord is drawing back to my attention time and again in this season. There are hidden treasures and riches that God wants His people to discover for His glory to be revealed.
“I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name.”
Isaiah 45:3
I believe that there is also another revelation that the Lord is speaking through this dream. Firstly, I believe that the Lord is encouraging His People to pray for the hidden treasures and secret riches in the nations to be revealed. There are treasures and riches in the world which are currently concealed and hidden from their true and rightful owners and which need to be revealed and restored. It’s time for some restitution.
There are nations which have immorally and illegally plundered the riches of other nations and restitution needs to be made. It is time for justice in this area. Nations who have held onto treasures and riches which have been wrongfully taken and which are ill-gotten gains need to start to give back. This is a God given opportunity and window of grace for the nations to start to make restitution. God is a God of justice and mercy and He hates crooked ways, corruption and theft. His measuring scales are perfect.
This season is also relevant for individuals as well. There are people who have had things stolen from them and this is not only materials things but also goes much deeper things like identity, character, relationships, reputations etc. There are many things I believe the Lord is going to reveal to people in this season of things which have been stolen from them that it is time to restore. It’s time to plunder the enemies camp and take back what has been stolen.
In the bible we read of Abraham and David who did just that.
“When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan. During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus. He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people.”
Genesis 14:14-16
“When David and his men reached Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive. So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. David’s two wives had been captured—Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel. David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelek, “Bring me the ephod. ” Abiathar brought it to him, and David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue. ” David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives. Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back. He took all the flocks and herds, and his men drove them ahead of the other livestock, saying, “This is David’s plunder.”
1 Samuel 30:3-8,18-20
In my dream it was the spoken words of “Open Sesame” which were the keys to the opening of the cave and unlocking of the treasure. We know as believers that there is power in God’s Word especially the spoken Word of God. God’s spoken Word is so powerful and I believe the Lord is saying that He is going to provide specific words of knowledge and prophecy which His Saints will declare which will unlock situations, bring increased levels of revelation about hidden things and open the door to the riches and treasures that He wants us to discover. The Saints are going to be used of God to reveal His truth and expose hidden evil. The Holy Spirit will quicken scripture to us which will encourage us to stand in faith on His promises and declare His truth.
Jesus himself is The Living Word and I believe that Jesus is going to unlock situations for His Saints as He has the key of David and it says in Isaiah 22:22
“I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.”
Isaiah 22:22
These prophetic verses are about Jesus, who has been given the authority to open and shut. I pray that the Lord himself will bring revelation to His Saints in these days of the doors which are to be opened so that we can enter through and take hold of the riches in Him that He has available to us for His Kingdom and His glory. To advance His Kingdom.
If you are not a Christian and a disciple of Jesus, then I pray that you will want to know more about having a relationship with Jesus by asking Him into your life. Ask and you will receive. These verses from Romans talk about the power of your mouth to speak the equivalent of those words “Open Sesame” to open up the true treasure and riches of restored relationship with God through His son Jesus and know that you are saved.
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile —the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9-13
Blessings to you this day in Jesus name.
