Hello, my name is Nicola and thank you for stopping by and reading my posts and also for following my blog if you are a subscriber. A massive Thank you. 😊
It’s such an encouragement when people visit my site and comment on my posts.
You will find that my posts are Christian in content and inspired by my faith in Jesus through life events, my bible readings/studies and as the Holy Spirit leads.
I usually post on a weekend, a prayer from a bible verse on Monday for the week ahead and sometimes on a Wednesday if the Lord has inspired a word or picture to share.
I want to encourage discipleship and support as we journey through faith in Jesus together.
I started this blog in 2018.
Back then the world of blogging was completely new to me. I’m ashamed to admit it now but at that time, I didn’t even know what a blog was. It was a prompting from God which inspired me to start a blog.
I made lots of excuses not to start the blog (not knowing how was the big one) but in the end I googled “how to write a blog” and was led to WordPress and the rest, as they say, is history.
Sometimes you just have to take that first step and trust God with the rest.
Has God been prompting you to do something new which seems overwhelming and you feel ill equipped. Join the club! Whatever it is take heart, if the Lord is leading you into it then He will by the power of His Holy Spirit lead and equip you.
I love reading blogs from writers all over the world and sharing our stories, ideas and encouragement. It’s inspiring and challenging. It makes my realise too how little I know. Learning to see things from different perspectives is great.
Blogging opens up my world to enable me to connect with others.
I have connected with some incredible people since starting my blog. I have become part of the UK Christian bloggers – you can find out a bit more in this post at UK Christian Bloggers and I now have friends all over the world – what a privilege.
This year 2025 the Lord has been speaking to us about connections. Jesus enables us through faith in Him to be connected to Father God and we are connected to each other as the church, the body of Christ. We are filled with the Holy Spirit who enables us to connect with a lost world.
In an age in which society is more isolated than ever and communities are more disconnected, blogging is one way which helps us to make new connections and maintain others.
So a bit more about me….let me properly introduce myself.
My name is Nicola and I’m from the UK. This is me on a recent holiday to the Peak District.

In a nutshell I am.. a follower of Jesus, Wife, Mum to 2 beautiful daughters, Lawyer who loves life, having fun, travel, good food, red wine, craft beers, live music, my dog, (the cat sometimes), my campervan, puzzles, walking and writing. I’m in my late fifties now but young at heart.
I live in England (in the Midlands) where I have spent the last 30 plus years. I was born in Somerset but moved to Scotland when just a baby as my Dad was Scottish. We lived in Fife until I was about 9 and then moved back to Somerset. We then moved to the Midlands with my husband’s job and we have settled here and raised our two daughters.
I’m very fortunate to have a wonderful husband who is also a great chef so I’m completely spoiled. It was our 33rd wedding anniversary this year.
I became a Christian in the summer of 1976, was baptised in water on 3rd December 1978 and also baptised in the Holy Spirit on 24th February 1979. I received the gift of tongues from the Holy Spirit at an early age and have been blessed with other gifts of the Holy Spirit.
I am currently a leader in my local church and very involved in prayer & deliverance ministry. My family were always Christians and a mix of Pentecostalists (my mum) and Baptists (my dad).
I love Jesus and want to share the good news of the gospel, encourage and hopefully inspire fellow believers and others to follow Christ and grow in the knowledge of God through Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.
I am passionate about prayer and want to step into all God has for me to do for Him. I hope my posts are a blessing to my readers.
