Testimony Tuesday…walking boots

This week I am in Wales on the beautiful Cardigan bay with my husband and brother.

The Welsh coastal path is stunning and one of the reasons we came to this area for walks in the fresh sea air with beautiful views. Yesterday’s walk was along this part of the coast.

We almost didn’t do any walking though as my brother forgot to bring his walking boots! On a walking holiday!

After much discussion, I insisted he was just going to have to buy another pair for the holiday.

My brother is a true Scotsman and the thought of having to spend good money on boots when he already had a pair at home was not pleasing to him.

The Lord encourages us to bring our needs to him in prayer. Ask and you will receive. I’m a great believer in God being interested in even the little things in our lives…walking boots included.

I prayed and asked the Lord to provide a pair of walking boots for my brother.

The next day we decided to visit Aberystwyth as that was the best place to find some boots.

My brother insisted on looking in charity shops..after a couple of fruitless searches, I said that it would be a miracle to find a pair of boots in his size in a charity shop! oh me of little faith!

Well you guessed it..in the next shop was a pair of practically brand new walking boots in a size 8 at the price of £12.00 ..bargain. They fitted perfectly and thank you Lord.

Anyway, just to let you know the Lord had this…when we got back to our cottage my husband had a look at the boots. He laughed and asked if we had noticed the model/make of the boots?

There on the inside of the boot on the tongue was the name “Ian”…my brother’s name!

The Lord provided those boots and that was the little nod to us that He heard and answered. God is interested in the small things too.
