Welcome to September…time to study

Hello September. It’s a month of new adventures and experiences ahead for many who start new terms in school, colleges and universities.

I have taken the plunge myself to go back to school.

I have enrolled with Westminster Theology College to study a foundational course in theology over the next academic year. It is part time and on line learning so all new to me.

I am excited and nervous about studying again but I believe God has opened this door and if I enjoy it then there could be the possibility of enrolling on a two year course.

The foundational course has a range of biblical topics to study in the Old and New Testaments. I watched an initial lecture on the Kingdom of God which has peaked my interest. I think the discussions will be interesting and informative and no doubt challenging.

Westminster Theological College emphasises the Word of God and Holy Spirit and that was an important consideration when choosing this course provider.

Some younger members of our church have also studied with them on various courses and I could see the benefit it brought to them. It’s never too late to try new things and whilst I might be slightly late to the party I can dust off my notebook and pen (or the modern equivalent) and get the brain cells going.

I will keep you updated with my progress and will hopefully have some pearls of wisdom to share on here.
