Traps for the unwary…

When the Lord draws something to my attention then it’s time to take note.

This morning I read this post from Alan https://devotionaltreasure.wordpress.com/2026/06/09/traps-on-the-wayside/

The trap of deceit

Distractions is the word that comes to mind today. I believe that distractions are subtle traps that the enemy is using against many of us in this season to take our eyes and vision from our purposes and calling in Christ Jesus.

These distractions are subtle traps and are hindering us.

Is there a distraction which is a trap in your life today.

It could seem completely legitimate but it’s really a distraction from the enemy.

I pray the Lord will open our eyes and show us where we have been trapped by distractions.

Lord Jesus I pray that you will keep us from the traps of the enemy and expose them. Help us keep our feet firmly on the narrow path of truth and faith and may we not wander or become distracted. Lead us in your righteous ways. Amen

    The hyper-promotion of artificial intelligence (AI) leads believers into traps of distraction and entanglement.

    AI steals copyrighted work, kills human creativity, and destroys reputations in multiple ways.

    Unfortunately, AI lies so convincingly that most users don’t take the time to validate responses or question the source of its output.

    I pray for God to deliver believers from the trap of AI addiction.

      Yes AI can be very dangerous. It is strange to me that people believe that everything that is stated by AI is true but if it’s source is wrong then it just repeats the lie continually

        Unfortunately, many believers remain unaware of how the enemy uses AI as a weapon of mass deceit, especially effective in destroying the lives of children, women, and the mentally vulnerable.

    Yes! This is a season of many distractions. It is what I am calling a season of sideways energy where I am being constantly grabbed and pulled to the right of the left while needing to keep moving straight ahead. Some of these pulls are very strong, but they would tear me away from what God has told me to do.

      Sideways energy..that is a good description. Praying that in this season you keep pushing ahead. Some days we get further but even a toe in the right direction is better than a foot off the path.

        I am pushing ahead against momentary feelings of futility. I know I shall have the victory I cannot look at the present moments.
