A sound came from heaven…

“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.” Acts.2.2 NKJV

What is the sound from heaven that we need to hear today?

What is the sound from heaven that the Lord wants us to hear today?

The Lord reminded me of these verses last week:

“Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” I Kings‬ ‭18‬:‭41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There has been a drought in the land but things are about to change.

Elijah heard the sound of rain. He heard it in faith because the Lord had said it would rain.

Not just a spot, not just a shower but an abundance of rain.

Elijah heard the sound of rain from heaven.

The rain was still far off and distant.

Elijah heard the rain first before he even saw the small cloud.

That sound of rain came from heaven and was his sign to set to praying and pray he did.

He persevered until breakthrough came and the sound of rain that he heard became a reality.

“So Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, and said to his servant, “Go up now, look toward the sea.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” And seven times he said, “Go again.” Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’ ”

What is the sound that the Lord wants us to hear from heaven today?

When our ears are tuned to heaven, when we pray in faith without ceasing and align ourselves with God then we will be positioned and prepared to act and to be obedient to His leading and His Will.

Lord open our ears to hear the sound of heaven today.

There is an abundance of rain and something is changing.

We will see the desert spring to life.

We will see the dead areas revived and refreshed and restored.

We will see the valleys filled with water again.

What is the Lord opening our spiritual ears to hear today?
