Isaiah 6 v 9 “and He said “Go, and tell this people: keep on hearing, but do not understand, Keep on seeing, but do not perceive” Make the heart of this people caloused, make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn and be healed”.

When I preached on this bible verse last year it was a specific word to our church but I felt prompted to share it more widely on my blog and I hope it has blessed my readers.
In terms of our fellowship we have spent months praying and seeking the Lord for His leading on the way we should grow and change as a fellowship,
The Lord wanted to give us clearer sight to prepare us for what was and is ahead and the shape of what is to come.
Sometimes we are prompted to do things and fail to notice or see the spiritual aspect behind what we do.
As I prepared my message for our church the Lord spoke to me about our practical refurbishment of the church in the preceding months.
It was no coincidence that we had refurbished the church. The church building had closed for a few weeks whilst it was repainted, new carpet, new blinds and new chairs.
When people came in again they saw this building with fresh eyes – many thought it looked much bigger! We had gotten so used to the shabby (and broken) chairs and tired furnishings it was not until everything was new, fresh and replaced that we realised how in need of a refurbishment it was.
We also moved our sound desk which was previously on the side (a distraction) to the back of the church out of the way where it was no longer a distraction.
Perhaps you have also been preparing/doing something without realising its spiritual significance and the Lord will open your eyes to see.
Prayer:
Come Holy Spirit and open our eyes so that we can see and understand. Show us where we need fresh eyes to see, a new perspective, to refocus our vision on God. Eyes to see the blind spots and danger zones, eyes of faith for the way ahead, the boldness to look at those things we are afraid to face. Eyes to see you Lord and your purpose and plan for each one of us Amen.🙏
