Returning..Lent#2026

It’s not too late..this is an excellent post by Rainer which can be read on this link.

Return With All Your Heart | Joel 2:12-13

I heard a simple but profound message the other week.

It’s something as followers of Jesus we know but need to keep returning to the simple truth.

The gospel is not about Jesus..it IS Jesus.

And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Lent invites us on a journey of discovering Jesus, more and more of Jesus.

That’s true life and it can start today, right this minute and right this second.

It just takes a desire in our hearts to know Jesus more and more.

But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is a vision from 2023

    Repentance
I had a vision this morning as I was praying where I saw a fruit tree loaded with fruit. Then I saw the Lord examining the fruit on the tree by taking each one individually and examining it. At first one would think that He was looking for the fruit of the Spirit, however, that was not the case here. In the vision I had this morning He was looking for fruits of repentance.

Remember John’s discourse with those coming to be baptized by him.

    Luke 3:7-9 (NKJV)
    John Preaches to the People
    (Matt. 3:7–12; Mark 1:7, 8; John 1:24–28)
7 Then he said to the multitudes that came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. 9 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire

This is a dream from February of 2013.

The Cross Of Christ is God’s Mercy
I had a dream 02/18/2013 and in the dream I saw 2 cliffs. At the bottom of the 2 cliffs was a river of fire or molten lava, in other words, this was hell. The only way to get from one side to the other was the cross of Christ. The cross is a made from 2 narrow pieces of wood and it was this that was the bridge that you had to cross to get to the other side. Remember Jesus said that the road to eternal life was both straight and narrow and few there be that find it. In the dream I saw people crossing on the bridge, i.e., the cross, to get to the other side. This is a picture I have seen many times before, not in dreams, but actual pictures. What was different about this dream was that I saw along with the people who were crossing, there were people who had fallen off the cross and were hanging, literally by their fingers to the cross. This is something I’d never seen before in anything I can remember because Christians are noted for shooting their wounded and not helping them even though we are commanded to do so.

BRETHREN, IF any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual [who are responsive to and controlled by the Spirit] should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also.
    (Gal 6:1)

In any event, I saw people who were walking on this narrow bridge stop, stoop down, and grab those who were clinging to the cross for dear life, and pull them up. The scripture that was impressed upon my heart was from Jude when I saw this.

Save others by snatching them from the fire of hell. Show mercy to others, even though you are afraid that you might be stained by their sinful lives. God can guard you so that you don’t fall and so that you can be full of joy as you stand in his glorious presence without fault.
    (Jud 1:23-24)
It would be so much easier to just step over those clinging to life or to just step on and let them perish in the flames of hell. But that is not the Father’s heart because He wants no one to perish but for everyone to have eternal life. Note also that the verse in Jude is a command, not a suggestion.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
    (2Pe 3:9)
It was incredible the amount of mercy that I saw being displayed in this dream
