F.A.I.L

The enemy of our soul has a plan and strategy to keep us as followers of Jesus in a place of complacency and inactivity.

The Lord is calling us be alert and active in our faith but the enemy has a plan to cause us to F.A.I.L through fatigue, apathy, inertia and lethargy.

The work of these spirits against believers should not be under-estimated or ignored. They can affect many of us in subtle ways which we are not aware of. They wrap us like a cloud of weariness, the weight of which pulls us down and we cannot progress. They suck the very life from us.

We find ourselves extremely tired with no energy. We are bored and fatigued with no interest in what is happening around us. We have lost our appetite. We do not want to do anything.

It’s important not to ignore these feelings and to discern prayerfully if these symptoms are from spiritual oppression against us.

Not all of these symptoms will have a spiritual reason as we are physical and emotional people but if there is a spiritual reason then I pray we will discern it and act.

I ask that the Lord Jesus will open our eyes to see and understand and reveal if this is how the enemy is working against us.

Jesus came to set us free from the power of the enemy. In prayer and fasting and in Jesus name we can and will break free of these spiritual oppressors and rise up in the zeal of the Lord.

We rise and shake off the mantle of fatigue, apathy, inertia and lethargy and we clothe ourselves with the armour of God, battle ready and prepared with our shields of faith, oiled and bright and our sword sharp and ready to cut through the lies and deception of the enemy.

We take captive every thought which is contrary to God and we come to the Living Word and His banqueting table to feed on the Bread of Life and drink the refreshing and restorative spiritual water from the very fountain of life.

We will stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His mighty name.

Alert watchman ready and prepared to act.
