In uncertain times..

“And He will be the security and stability of your times, A treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the Lord is your treasure.” Isaiah 33.6 AMP

Stability…”a situation in which something is not likely to move or change”

“The state of being firmly fixed”

“The strength to stand or endure”

“Resistance to change”

Our exhortation today:

“But you, beloved, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], pray in the Holy Spirit, and keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously and looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [which will bring you] to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy but with fear, loathing even the clothing spotted and polluted by their shameless immoral freedom. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling or falling into sin, and to present you unblemished [blameless and faultless] in the presence of His glory with triumphant joy and unspeakable delight, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and power, before all time and now and forever. Jude 1.20-25 AMP

Faith in God through our Lord Jesus Christ will bring us stability in the most unstable, changeable, fickle and fluid situations of these days and times.

God is the security and stability of your times. In Him there is found the wisdom and knowledge for these days. We are called according to His plans and His purposes for such times as these. Today we can help someone to find or point them towards discovering the security and stability which only God can provide.

    Security Blanket Taken Away
    I had a dream 10/26/2013 where I saw a horse and rider galloping upon the earth as if he was riding upon the whole world, in fact I saw the earth as a globe, and not just upon the earth as one would normally see. I then saw him reach down and grab something like a blanket that had been covering the earth and pull it off. What I got in the dream as I now am writing this post is the word security blanket.

    What came to mind is the following from Revelation:

    And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
    (Rev 6:4)

    However, in my dream, the horse was not red and it was not the horse that stood out in the dream but the rider’s actions, i.e., taking the security blanket from the earth.

    What also comes to mind is a little child holding his blanket. I have grandchildren that do this and know that they have a fit when their “security blanket” is taken from them.

    In these last days, our security is to be found in the Lord alone
