Eternal life…

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
John 17.3 NKJV

I was reminded this week that eternal life is not only about the after life and heaven (which is a beautiful thing) but eternal life in Christ is for our present right now, every day.

It is the beauty and wonder of enjoying a personal relationship with God as our Father and Jesus the living King of Kings right now.

It is the beauty and wonder of God living in us through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We have eternal life right here and now in that Godly relationship which is only made possible because of Jesus, His death and resurrection.

Yes, there is a glorious day and future ahead for us as believers when there will be no more suffering and pain and God will wipe away every tear. All will be made perfect once more but we are not just saved for that day, we are saved into eternal life with our Father God now.

Today is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in the beauty of that glorious truth…we have eternal life in knowing God as our Father and Jesus the Son.

Let us live today in the beauty of that glorious truth.
