Lighting fall..

This morning, Easter Sunday 2025 just before 7.00 a.m, I heard an incredibly loud sound that I have never heard before.

The sound was so loud I woke immediately, but it was not an earthly sound I heard it was a heavenly sound in the spirit.

The sound was like a loud crackling, buzzing sound of energy like electricity in one incredible long burst and then gone. There was a sense of fast movement to this sound like lightning, a bolt of lightning.

I was immediately reminded of this scripture:

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”

And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
Luke.10.17-20 NKJV

The Lord was reminding me this morning that Satan has fallen from his heavenly place.

Jesus however through His death and resurrection has risen to the place appointed for Him at the right hand of His Heavenly Father.

Jesus has been raised up to the place of pre-eminence.

Jesus is seated in the heavenlies and been given all authority and power.

This is the Apostle Paul’s prayer for us to grasp and take hold of this incredible truth:

“Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Ephesians1.15 -23 NKJV

Not only that though, Jesus has raised us up with him too.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2 4-10 NKJV

Jesus not only gave authority to his disciples and the 70 over the works of the enemy but has also given us, his believers and followers today in our days, authority over the works of the enemy.

This is not that we can boast though or be proud of such things but rather to remind us of Jesus and what He has done and what He has obtained for us by His death and resurrection.

Our names are written in heaven.

We are called to be salt and light, to expose the works of darkness and to stand strong in the freedom that Jesus has obtained for us through His death and resurrection.

There is power and authority in the name of Jesus.

There is power, wonder working power in His blood.

Jesus came and has set us free from the works of Satan.

Jesus achieved our freedom from Satan’s lies and works of death in our lives.

We are no longer slaves of sin but we are born of the Spirit again into a new spiritual life of freedom and we are working out our salvation daily through the grace and mercy of God.

Satan has fallen from his place.

Satan has fallen from his place of influence in our lives.

Jesus is raised up to His heavenly place, the highest place in heaven and He took us with Him and has raised us up too.

Our names are written in heaven,

Hallelujah and thanks and praise today to our glorious Saviour, Jesus Christ.

He is victorious.
