The same in every way…

Today is my eldest daughter’s birthday.

A lot of people say she is a chip off the old block and has many of our family characteristics and looks.

Jesus had more than a passing resemblance to His Father God.

He was and is exactly like His Father God in every way.

“And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.” Hebrews 1.3 NASB

Jesus himself told Philip the same:

“Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”

Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip?

He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me” John14.8-10 NKJV

It is a fundamental truth that we see displayed in the nativity scene each Christmas that we must never forget.

God became human for us. What amazing love.
