Prayer for the week ahead..Seedtime 26/8

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” 2 Timothy 4.2-5 NKJV

Father God, may we this week be ready for all opportunities to sow your Word, which is truth and life, into the hearts of others. May we sow generously and graciously. Help us to overcome and avoid the temptation of having itching ears and the lure of false teachers who would lead us astray with false doctrine and made up fables. Search our hearts and minds and reveal any such things to us. Lead us in your paths of truth and righteousness. May we faithfully carry out the good works you have called us to do. Open our eyes to see the things around us you want us to see which we may be blind to at the moment. In the precious name of Jesus our Lord and Saviour Amen 🙏.
