We have made it into France, via Belgium and a short trip through Luxembourg, which is such a small country that we were out of it before we even realised we had entered it!
We have now virtually travelled all across the centre of France via the Jura, the Alps, the Auvergne, Massif Central and today we reached the Atlantic Coast of the Maritime Charente. Over 2500 Kilometres so far in our little van.
To say the French love their cheeses and wine is an understatement. Every region has their own cheese and wine. I am sure I have eaten my own weight in cheese this last 2 weeks from the beautiful Comte, the delicious St. Nectaire, the Tommes, Auvergne Bleu and Morbier.
Last night we stayed on a vineyard near St Emillion and had a tour this morning from the owner, Mattius. He spoke no English but with our limited French we managed to communicate and had a wonderful visit.
There have been so many highlights of this trip. In the Auvergne we went for a walk up the mountain and someone had left some leaflets about Jesus! In such a remote spot but how amazing that people still leave these leaflets for others to find out about God.
