To enrich something means to improve its quality, usually by adding something such as a desirable quality or characteristic to it.
A Definition of “enrich” from Merriem Webster dictionary is:
“to make rich or richer especially by the addition or increase of some desirable quality, attribute, or ingredient the experience will enrich your life:
such as
: to add beauty to;
: to enhance the taste of e.g adding butter will enrich the sauce;
: to make (a soil) more fertile;
: to improve the nutritive value of (a food) by adding nutrients (such as vitamins or amino acids) and especially by restoring part of the nutrients lost in processing e.g enriched flour;
: a process which adds or increases the proportion of a desirable ingredient to make it more powerful e.g enriched uranium
When we consider those enriching qualities of character, beauty, flavouring, productivity, nutrition and power, we can have confidence that our lives in receiving Christ Jesus by faith have also been enriched in these ways by God.
Today let’s encourage each other to remember and be thankful and joyful for how enriched our lives are through Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit living and working within us and through us for the benefit of not just us but others too.
Are there other enriching qualities of Jesus that you want to see more of in your life. I know I do.
“I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way – with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge” 1Cor.1. 4-5 NIVUK
Have a blessed day my friends.
