Prayer for the week ahead…22/4/24…Do not forget

“But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”Jude.1.17-21NKJV

Father God help us to understand and apply these warnings from Jude to be aware of those people who are devoid of the Spirit of God and motivated only by their own desires and selfishly ambitious and who abuse and distort the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us not follow or align ourselves with their influence or teachings. Show us if we have come under their influence and free us from it.

Help us to build ourselves up in the faith of Christ Jesus our Lord, trusting in your unfailing love and sharing your Holy and pure love, being led by and praying in the Holy Spirit. Thank you for your continued mercy and grace. Lead us Holy Spirit and help us to walk in righteousness and holiness through the power of your grace outworking in our lives today and in the days to come. Amen 🙏
