The Wind…

The wind blows where it wishes.

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:7-8

There is the sound of heaven blowing through our midsts as we meet together to give glory, praise and honour to King Jesus.

We discern God’s presence as the Holy Spirit is at work amongst us, presencing himself with us in our midst.

We humbly ask; Blow wind blow, come from heaven and blow on us; Revive us, Refresh us, Awaken us, Empower us to be witnesses for Christ the Lord and Saviour in all the Earth.

“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2, 2-4

So he answered and said to me:“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’Says the Lord of hosts”. Zechariah 4.6

Just as the wind blows where it will so is the work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God. We welcome and submit to the work of the Spirit of God in us and in our midst. We do not summon the Holy Spirit or control the Holy Spirit. If we do then it is not the Holy Spirit at work. The Holy Spirit is not subject to our whims or fancies. The Holy Spirit is God.
