When a parent holds their arms out and encourages a child to jump, the parent is not going to let that child fall. They will catch them.
If you as a parent would not let your child fall, so the Lord wants you to know that you can trust Him to do the same for you, His child, in all your circumstances.
God’s everlasting arms are ever ready to uphold His children. God’s goodness and love towards us abounds without measure and He is faithful in all His ways.
Whatever difficult circumstances or battles you face today or tomorrow the Lord is with you. God goes before you. You can trust in Him to help you. God is a good, good God.
“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,Who rides the heavens to help you,And in His excellency on the clouds. The eternal God is your refuge,And underneath are the everlasting arms;He will thrust out the enemy from before you,And will say, ‘Destroy!’ Deut.33 26-27

Your thoughts remind of the passage in James which says God isn’t tempted by evil, and neither does he tempt anyone.” In other words, the Lord doesn’t set us up for failure. Great post, Nicola!

One basic truth we all know but sadly, always forget or doubt.

This is so pertinent for us today; our grandson has a habit of jumping to be caught when you least expect it! But praise God He knows exactly when we need catching.
