Signs of Transformation

This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. John” 2.1 NKJV

John’s gospel explains the signs which pointed to Jesus as being the promised Saviour.

The first sign mentioned in these verses is the miracle Jesus performed turning water into wine at a wedding feast.

It was a miraculous transformation of one liquid with a specific chemical and molecular structure into a different liquid.

Jesus performed a miracle which John says “manifested His glory”. It was not a trick or sleight of hand but a miraculous transformation.

The bible teaches us that Jesus is the only one who has the power to radically transform us. Faith in Jesus and what Jesus did for us by His death and His resurrection radically transforms us into different people.

We are no longer the same people we once were before we knew Jesus. Praise God.

As a follower of Jesus the bible tells us:

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins” Eph.2.1.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.” Eph.5.8

Two miraculous transformations to take hold of today.

You are alive in Christ Jesus because your sins are now forgiven and eternal life with God now awaits.

You are now a light shining for God’s glory in a dark world. Your being is light.

These are just two incredible transformations that happen to us when we believe in Jesus.

Then as we follow Jesus even more transformations will take place as we become more like Jesus.

The discipleship journey is exciting. It’s one of transformation.

What transformations do you want for 2023. Only believe in the One who has the power to truly transform.

What transformations await you in 2023. Only believe.

  1. In 2023, I hope to move from a teacher to an administrator. It’s something I’ve prayerfully dedicated the past 18 months to prepare for. It’s always a little scary stepping out into something new. But, if God is leading, we can’t go wrong. A happy and blessed new year to you, Nicola!

  2. Another excellent post, thank you Nicola. It’s exciting to remember what God has already done in our lives, and the kind of transformations he has already brought. But as you rightly point out, it’s great to look ahead to see what he will do in the coming year. May bless your writing in your blog and move it from strength to strength.

  3. What a lovely upbeat message for 2023 Nicola! Can it ever be anything else when we are leaning on our Rock, Jesus Christ? I particularly love the reference to Jesus’s words to Jairus in Mark 5:36: “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe.” Those two final words “…only believe” are simple but powerful words that we can hold onto as we go into the New Year.

  4. Amen! I hope to see great transformation in the year 2023! I hope to finally step into the area God has called me to and that I know with certainty to at it’s what God wants – perhaps the loss of my job is the push I needed for this. I hope my wife and I bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God and I pray that by the end of this year I have witnessed an earth shaking revival here in Portugal. So great the revival that it’s reported around the world. I also pray that you and loved ones would receive all you pray and believe for! God bless 🥰
