I want to include on my site testimonies about Jesus and Salvation through belief in Him. Stories of how I have experienced God in my life and also stories from my family & friends. It is good to give testimony for the glory of God and tell of the amazing things that He has done. We encourage testimonies in our fellowship group and in the church I attend. When we share our stories and tell of the goodness of God in our lives, the changes He has brought, we bear witness of the saving power of Jesus Christ and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.
Hopefully, the stories shared here (which I hope to add to as I expand my blog) will also encourage you to share your story with others. The more stories of God’s love, demonstrated in Jesus, that are told and shared then the more opportunities for people to hear the good news about Jesus. Each one of our stories is powerful when told in our own voices. We each experience the outworking of God’s Grace in our lives in different ways as we walk out our faith daily. Our stories are powerful and precious. I hope you are encouraged to believe that there is someone who will want to hear your story.
There are beautiful verses in Revelation 12 10-11 which say “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah (Jesus). For the accuser (satan) of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony: they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”
This is the link to the testimony of my Grandad David’s healing which I posted previously- Healing Testimony which he wrote out for his family in his own words. My Grandad died many years before I was born but his story of how Jesus healed him has been an encouragement to me. During my life, I have experienced physical healing from the Lord after a car accident (which I will add a testimony about) but I have also experienced a time when I wasn’t healed in the way I expected. It was then I had to lean into God and trust Him.
We have hope in Christ Jesus our Lord. Our stories share the reasons for that hope.
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, – 1 Peter 3:15
