UK Christian Bloggers

It’s been such a blessing and encouragement to me to connect up with other Christian bloggers. I’ve learnt so much and been inspired by chats on various topics. Andy Brown has summed it up excellently in his post which you can read below. Have a blessed day.

Hi! My name is Andy Brown, you may remember me from such blogs as andy-brown.org…! It has indeed been some time since my last proper post, although I…

Blow Wind, Blow

Call to the Wind;

Wind of the Holy Spirit please come and blow on us;

Blow away the Chaff;

Blow away the rubbish;

Blow away the false foundations;

Blow away all false teachings;

Blow away all deceptions;

Blow away every unfruitful work;

Blow away every false prophecy;

Blow away every false tongue;

Blow away every false interpretation;

May they not take root;

Blow heaven – Blow;

Let the trumpet sound;

Let the glory of the Lord come down;

Let the fire fall from heaven;

Let the Wind fan the flames;

Let all rubbish and dross be burnt up;

Out of the ashes will come forth life;

Out of devastation will come forth fruit;

Out of darkness will come forth light;

Be prepared.

Who can stand in the presence of the Almighty. Those of a contrite spirit and pure heart who have not lifted up their soul to an idol, those whose faith is set on a firm foundation of Jesus Christ.

They will not be moved. Though the seas will roar and the storms will come – they will not be moved.

Root yourself in Jesus Christ;

Root yourself in Love;

Root yourself in Him who cannot be moved.

Lord today we pray and contend for our brothers and sisters to be able to stand in the day of trouble. Help us to be a help and support to those who are caused to stumble and to help those who fall to rise again. We stand with them. We support them with our prayers. Strengthen them today Lord by your power and might. Amen.

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them Acts 2 1-4

In praise of the Community Pantry

This blog post was a godly and timely reminder to me of how people in other nations are being badly impacted and suffering, not just through the COVID pandemic, but because of other injustices, corruption and disasters which have affected them. We, as Christians, are one body in Christ and when one part of our body suffers then we too suffer with them. Let us be awake to the sufferings of others around the world and ask the Lord to show us the ways that we can help practically and support people in need. Letting them know that we are with them in their sufferings.

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

Power in the Presence

This is a beautiful inspiring poem written by a lovely lady called Bee from our church fellowship. She has allowed me the privilege of sharing it on my blog. It really touched my heart and I hope you enjoy it and it inspires you too x

They prayed & laid on hands in love
But the one who held the key
Was the one who came in silence
And sat and cried with me.

He didn’t seek for understanding
He didn’t offer prayer
He just came down into my valley
And waited with me there

No aid was offered nor accepted
To relieve me of my pain
But there was power in his presence
With no judgement, fear or shame.

You say ‘he must have been an angel,
Or even Christ the Lord!’ Believe me –
He was just a man.
Human. Christian. Flawed.

But when he sat beside me
I knew the presence of the Son
For the Spirit dwelt within him
And he let God’s glory come.

I didn’t leave the valley
When he left me for the light
But my faith and hope
Did flicker in the darkness of my night.

I ask God to pull me from the valley
But so far, he has said no.
So I need friends to walk with me
To go where I must go

One day the King will come
Glorious light to end all pain
But still there’s power in the presence
Of the ones who love His Name
