Look up and come up..

My friend Heather, sent our fellowship group these encouraging words and I wanted to share them with you today. I hope you are blessed x

Morning all, as I was awake in the night I believe the Lord said to me “LOOK UP” and then “COME UP”.

Where I thought? Psalm 121 says “ I look to the hills it’s where my help comes from. The Lord maker of heaven and earth”.

As I looked up I saw the eagles up there soaring way above the storm.

Isaiah 41 verse 30 says “those who Hope in the Lord will soar on eagles wings. They will run and not get weary, they will walk and not faint”. I encourage you to read all of Isaiah 40.

Did you know the eagle puts her chicks in a hole in the rocks and then she faces in and spreads her wings across the hole to cover them and stays there till the storm has passed.

Psalm 91 says “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, in the shadow of The Almighty will say He is my refuge, my God in whom I trust. Verse 4 says “He will cover us with His wings”. I encourage you to read the rest of psalm 91.

We have meditated on Psalm 46 recently which says “God is our refuge and strength an ever present help in time of need”.

These scriptures tell us that God is in charge. Let us look up, stay strong and know we are under His wings. God bless xx

God our refuge

The Lord drew me to Psalm 46 yesterday and so we read it aloud last night in our fellowship group over WhatsApp. We prayed through the words to declare and affirm our faith in God and call upon Him in our times of trouble because He truly is our ever present help. He does not abandon us at these times but is right there with us in the middle of times of pain, sorrow, suffering and grief.

I hope you also take comfort and strength from these words today:

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah
Psalm 46:1-11

Emmanuel, God with us. He is our ever present help. Call on Him today.

Blessings to you this day. 🙏

Approaching Midnight

Hello all, I do hope you are well and continue to keep well and healthy especially in these challenging times and as we enter into a new phase of lockdown. I pray God has mercy on us in these days and thank Him for his continued faithfulness, provision and grace. God is good. Praise His holy name.

For a number of months, the Lord has been encouraging me to redeem the time and use the days allotted to me wisely. I have written down the following as the Lord laid it on my heart and hope it encourages you in these days. May God’s face shine upon you and bless you.

The days are here for the glory of God’s sons and daughters to be revealed. Arise and shine for the days are dark but the glory of the Lord covers the seas. The eagles will mount up with wings of fire. They will see in the spirit with eyes of flames. Their breath will destroy the enemy. My Hand is never too short to save. Many are called but few are chosen. Rise up and seize the day. It belongs to you to do with it what you will, but I have already accounted for all the days for you, so be prepared for the day of accountability draws near. Fulfil your purpose in Me. Be bold. You are my sons and daughters of the Most High God. When I issue a decree then it is a thing already accomplished even Satan knows that. Be wise stewards of the days ahead. Redeem the times for they are evil, show grace, mercy & love to your enemies for they will be many. To him who holds faithful to the end there is a crown of life waiting. See the clock – it is about to strike midnight. The midnight hour approaches so be ready and do not be caught sleeping.

Approaching midnight

My friend Heather encouraged me with these verses from Hebrews “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:23-25

We may be finding it difficult to meet in these days as we once did but let us strive to keep the bonds of love and stay connected.

Blessings to you in Jesus x

547 days..God’s perfect timing

I am so encouraged today and I want to encourage you too with something I discovered this morning.

Last night I was reading my journal and something I had written from a church prayer meeting on 3 July 2019 got my attention. I had written 547 days.

This morning I decided to find out when 547 days was and so did a google search. I searched backwards from today.

The result blew me away. It was the exact same date of the prayer meeting 3/7/2019 and so God really got my attention this morning. What was the Lord saying on that night in 2019 and what is so significant about today that He was pointing us towards it back then.

Well today is significant being 31 December 2020, New Years Eve. We are on the threshold of a New Year. It has been a year of great shaking, turbulence and new things which have impacted all nations. It is also another major milestone in U.K history as we leave the European Union at midnight tonight. We enter into a new era. New days and New things are ahead.

On that night of 3 July 2019 there was a call to preparation. God said that He was calling the lost and were we ready to receive them. I believe God is asking us the same question today. Are we ready to receive the lost?

If there is an incredible revival of people coming to Christ then we need to be ready to teach, shepherd, disciple, heal and restore the lost. To establish sound doctrine and teaching on the firm foundation of Christ as the cornerstone of our faith and the whole gospel. Sound biblical teaching. To see people baptised and filled with the Holy Spirit. See them set free from the effects of their pasts to discover true freedom in Christ Jesus.

In 2008 I had a vision of the small cloud and God reminded me of Elijah at Mount Carmel after the defeat of the false prophets of Baal. After the fire, Elijah prayed for rain and sent his servant back to check for any signs of rain coming as he had already heard the sound of rain in the spirit. There had been a drought for 3 years as a result of Elijah’s prayers and the drought was about to break. On the 7th time of looking the cloud was seen and Elijah knew the rain was on its way so he hitched up his garments and ran. He ran so fast that he overtook the kings chariot. There was a deluge of rain.

God is encouraging us to look and listen and discern what is coming and what He is doing so that we are not unprepared but are like the virgins with our oil ready and more in reserve. I pray that the Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists and Teachers appointed for these days will rise up for the days ahead to prepare the body of Christ for maturity and to be ready and prepared for all that God is calling us to do in these days. That each one of us will discover our purpose in God, the gifts He has for us and be bold for Him. That our family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues know that we are followers of Christ and where to come in times of need. When they need answers which only God can provide.

When I told my friend about the 547 days she reminded me that numbers are significant in scripture. 5 speaks of GRACE/SALVATION and 7 speaks of perfection/completeness. 4 speaks of creation. It can also refer to seasons and in Strong’s concordance that literally translates as appointed times” i.e divine appointments. I believe today is a divine appointment with God and I pray that we do not miss meeting with Him today. I am eager to spend time with Him to discover what He is saying TODAY. I hope that you will also be encouraged to do the same and share what God is speaking. Amen.

Bless you all in Jesus name.

Hope..

I have been thinking a lot about hope recently and what hope is. Perhaps it is all that has happened this year which has brought these thoughts more to my mind.

I hear a lot of people say that they can’t wait for the New Year, bring on 2021, as quickly as possible in the hope that it will be different to this year.

I have started to realise that hope is not as easy to define as I thought and can be easily misunderstood. My hope in the past was not always properly formed and I think when I reflect was either a false hope, misguided optimism or wishful thinking on my part.

So then when things did not turn out as I had hoped, I was disappointed. When disappointment took hold that led me down a slippery slope of all sorts of other negative emotions and thoughts. It can shake your confidence and faith. It can crush your spirit and make you feel like giving up.

“When hope is crushed, the heart is crushed”
Proverbs 13:12

Disappointment can be the doorway for negative thoughts and emotions and bitterness can start to take root if we are not careful. Guard the door of your heart against disappointment.

Let us encourage each other, to build ourselves up on a solid foundation which cannot be shaken. The cornerstone of our faith and hope is Jesus.

Hope is formed in us through tests and trials. It comes through the hard times. It is developed in those times when we travel through the valley and experience the love and faithfulness of God. We trust in Him to know the best outcome for us. Not my will but His perfect will formed in me.

“We also boast of our troubles, because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance brings God’s approval, and his approval creates hope. This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his love into our hearts by means of the Holy Spirit, who is God’s gift to us.”
Romans 5:3-5

Whatever difficult circumstances you are going through I pray that perfect hope will take root in your heart and mind. If there is disappointment or bitterness, then I pray the Holy Spirit will bring revelation and show you how this has affected your life. That He will lead you to release and healing from all its effects in your life. That your joy will be restored. 🙏

Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times.
Romans 12:12

Blessings to you this day in Jesus name.
