Let us climb higher for a wider and better view enabling us to see further than our current range of sight.
There is a bigger vision and a wider horizon for us to see.
Our seeing can be limited because of where we sit or stand currently.
I believe God is calling us to see further than we currently see in this season.
Further than we have seen before of His vision and His plans.
To expand our horizons.
This is challenging.
God is calling us to come up higher with Him for a different and bigger perspective – to see from a heavenly perspective with eyes of faith.
From the mountain tops we are going to get an entirely different view than from the valley floor.
We will see the pattern and shape of things from the top which were not visible before.
“Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah”
Psalms 24:1-6 NKJV
This is about being intentional about going higher – spending time in God’s presence, resting in God, spending time in prayer, spending time reading and meditating on the Bible.
What will become apparent from the mountain top that we cannot see from the valley floor.
The view will definitely be different.
There is a time when the Lord lifts us like the wings of the Eagle riding on the wind of His presence to higher places but at the moment I hear this call for an intentional pursuit on my part of His presence.
An intentional rising and climbing the hill of the Lord.
My husband took me on a walk the other day. The path was narrow and steep and difficult to climb. I had to stop many times.
When we reached the top the view was incredible. I could see for miles in every direction.
We descended though on a different route that was very broad and wide and much easier. Many people were climbing up that way.
My husband had deliberately chosen the narrow and steep path up rather than the wide path.
Our path up was one where you could not walk side by side on many parts of it and we had to make our own way at different times and at different paces.
I was much slower than my husband who had more strength than me and reached the top quicker.
The Lord really spoke to me through this.
The path at the moment for many to climb is steep and narrow but there is a reason the Lord is bringing you up this way.
You will develop strength and your effort and perseverance will be rewarded.
Don’t give up.
Keep going, steadily climbing higher and higher.
