Walking in Love: Love socks..

I hope you like my Valentine day socks 😀

I put these socks on as a bit of fun to make my husband laugh but then I was immediately reminded of the exhortation of the Apostle Paul for us disciples of Jesus to walk in love.

It’s the outworking of Christ’s love in and through us which is the witness of His transforming power in our lives.

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
Ephesians 5:1-2

“This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it” 2 John 1:4-6

Jesus said to his disciples “If you love Me, keep My commandments. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
John 14:15,21,23-24

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.”
John 15:9-14

I want to be a friend of Jesus. I hope you do too. ❤️

Today, tomorrow, each day we have the opportunity to be instruments of God’s love. Showing love to others in sometimes simple, small and genuine ways can mean so much.
