Disruption..a re-post

At the start of this year I posted about disruption which had been a word on my heart in April 2024.

We are still seeing much disruption and attacks on our IT and communication systems nationally and worldwide.

There has been major disruption recently in our supply chains in the UK through a cyber attack and in the justice system.

I wrote about the electrical power outage in Spain and Portugal that brought so many cities in those countries to a standstill and left people with no access to power, money and transport.

It was a hugely disruptive event with a failure of the electricity network that was blamed on “an atmospheric event”.

We have also seen disruption to UK retailers caused by hackers who have disrupted their computer systems. The hackers have also targeted our NHS in the past and other institutions.

There are many other disruptive events and these are not just localised but having great impact nationally and internationally.

I want to encourage us as believers to keep watching and praying as the Holy Spirit leads us.

We are called to be praying people and our prayers are effective. Let us not be discouraged by the events happening around us but let us press in and pray more urgently and with Godly discernment as we see what is happening world wide.

God is good and God is on the throne.

My original post is below. Thank you for reading.

The Lord keeps reminding me of this word “disruption” and I am hearing this word “disruption” in various contexts recently.

I sense a call to pray from the Holy Spirit to intercede particularly for communication systems at this time and for the enemy’s wicked plans to bring about disruption to be thwarted and averted.

Meanings of disruption:

disturbance or problems which interrupt an event, activity, or process.

the action of preventing something, especially a system, process or event, from continuing as usual or as expected

Disruption can be localised or widespread.

On Wednesday 3 April 2024 in our time of prayer the Lord spoke this word “Disruption” to me.

I sense we are in a season or entering a season of intense and unexpected disruption.

The enemy has a strategy to bring disruption in this world but we can through our prayers and the power of the Holy Spirit be Holy Disruptors of his wicked and evil schemes.

I believe the Lord is calling us to watch and intercede for situations, people, governments and nations in this season of disruption.

The Lord himself is bringing His Holy disruption in this season and I pray for us to have Godly wisdom and discernment.

If there is disruption in your life at the moment, it is necessary to discern the source.

If God is disrupting things then it is for an ultimately good reason..perhaps a stirring of the nest so you will learn to fly or to move out of your comfort zone. A disruption of your status quo.

Let us Watch out for the Disruptors and the Disruptions…are they Godly and of God. If so, let us humble ourselves to God’s disruption and seek Him. Where is the Lord leading us in this season.

If it is the enemy then let us lift up a shout of victory against him and his wicked schemes and declare the victory and authority of our Lord Jesus Christ and the power in His blood.

I pray the Lord will open our ears to hear and our eyes to see what He wants us, as His people, to know and understand in these times. Lord grant us Godly wisdom and discernment to discern between good and evil.

Bless you my friends,
