Prayer for the week ahead..hope

The first candle of Advent represents hope so our prayer today is about hope.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Rom.12.12 NIVUK

Lord, we ask that joy and hope will spring up in our hearts afresh as we consider your faithfulness,grace,mercy and love which has been lavished upon us through faith in your son Jesus Christ. Please lift up the heads of those brothers and sisters in Christ who are suffering and oppressed this week and may they be strengthened and comforted by the hope they have in Jesus who is coming again one day. May the joy of the Lord be their strength Amen🙏
