Prayer for the week ahead 15/4/24…saying No

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good”. Titus 2 11-14 NIVUK

Father God, this week help us to say No to the things that displease and dishonour you and which are no good for us in all aspects of our lives. Reveal to us the things that we think are good but in fact are not good for us at all. Help us to exercise self control and not give in to temptation. Help us to be eager to lead lives that are pleasing to you. Amen 🙏
