The Christmas Present….

My husband knows me so well…he always buys me such thoughtful presents. I’ve discovered this is a skill in itself (which should not be underestimated or go unappreciated) because I am not very good at it. There are people who just know the right, special gift that will give you that special feeling…whether joy, love or just feeling special.

This year I got incredibly excited about two presents from my husband.

When I say excited, I mean I actually squealed with delight…like a child. It was ridiculous really but they brought such a smile to my face. Here they are…

#Totoro

If you have a bemused look on your face right now I don’t blame you but Totoro is my favourite character from Studio Ghibli.

These little toys made me ridiculously happy and that was my husband’s plan. He knew they would make me smile. Job done..

But not quite….because just to top it off he bought me something from my other favourite…Shakespeare!!!

I have a fondness for Shakespeare quotes and so he bought me a mug from the Royal Shakespeare Company with a quote from “Much Ado about Nothing”

It says “I do love nothing in the world so well as you

That just summed up Christmas for me…

God sent Jesus and said :

“I do love nothing in the world so well as you”

I am not familiar with Totero either, but will Google it, as well.
I also am a collector of Shakespeare quotes. One of my favorites is, “Brevity is the soul of wit.”
You exemplify this in your writing, Nicola. I can’t recall ever reading a post of yours that seemed laboriously long or off topic.
It’s so wonderful that God just doesn’t talk about loving is, He demonstrates His love—through Christ.
Blessings to you and your thoughtful husband!

Thanks David that is really kind of you to say so. I like that quote too. Perhaps, we should try and slip some more Shakespeare quotes into our posts and see if we can spot them.🤔

    Love this

your husband sounds like such a gem!!

We bought a mug for Nathan for Christmas (for his breakfast show).

Jo was confused by the wording on the side of the large mug – in big red letters.

    H O
    M E

What’s ‘homee’ got to do with anything?

And then she saw the actual message

    H O M E

Funny how we can miss the message because of the message we think we see

    There’s a post in that…..

    Loved your post
